The Holy Prophet Mohammed Al-Mustafa (s.a.w.a.s.) said:
"If you were to pray so much that you became thin as strings and fasted so much that you bent over as arches, Allah would not accept any of it unless it was accompanied by piety. (Bihar al-Anwar, v. 84, p. 258, no. 56)
Rasoolallah Mohammed Al-Mustafa (s.a.w.a.s.) nay farmaya: "Agar tum itni ziyada namaazay padho kay tum dhaagay ki tarha sookh jaao aur itnay ziyada rozay rakho kay kaman ki tarha kamar khameeda ho jaaye, Allah us ko phir bhi qabool nahi karay ga agar wo taqwa kay saath na ho” (Bihar al-Anwar, v. 84, p. 258, no. 56)
